It has been months since last time I touched this book. So instead of starting from Part II of Volume I, I actually read it from the very beginning this afternoon. This book is not an easy read. For non native English speakers like me it’s even more challenging. Not to mention, it was originally written in German. Despite the fact that I’m standing far away from that scene, I’m trying very hard to approach the pith of this story. The length of it is a bit intimidating, though. Can I take it as a pillow to sleep on when I don’t feel like reading?
